Nenju elumbu soup

Ingredients
 
● Nenju elumbu
These are bones of lamb from its chest part. They are soft pieces of bones with a little pice of flesh attached to it

●  Pearl onions 4 to 5 nos

● Dried chilly 1 no

● turmeric powder 1 / 4 tsp

● cumin seeds 1 / 2 tsp

● sesame oil 1tsp

●  tomato 1 no


How to prepare

Wash the bones and two times thoroughly. Keep it in the colander so that the excess water drains off.

Grind dried chilly, , cuminseeds, and turmeric powder thoroughly adding water little by little. When ground to a paste add onions and run the mixer for a few seconds

Take a cooker and place the bones in it and add the ground masala paste adding 1and a half cup water.crush the tomato with your hand and add in the cooker

Now pour 1 tsp oil to it.close the lid and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Open the lid when the heat subsides , add salt to taste.

● This soup can be given to women who have delivered a baby

●  This soup helps to heal the wound of operated patients.

●  You can have it with idli or drink it when hot , chewing the bones as yuou drink it.

● This is a dish from madurai
 
●  This dish is good for joints

●   It can be taken while severe cold attacks us
