Dry fish curry

Ingredients
  • Dry fish  - 100 grams( neymeen)
  • Small onion-   250gms
  • Green chillies - 2nos
  • Sambhar  powder or any masala powder you have  - 1 tsp
  • Sesame oil-  100ml


Method

Wash the dry fish and keep aside.cut the small onions into three,slit the green chillies

Heat a kadai,pour oil  into it,next add the onions to it .saute it for 5 minutes. 

Add the chillies,dry fish,and sambhar powder to it and saute for few seconds.
Dont add salt as already the dry fish has salt.

Now add  a half cup of water to it.let it boil for a few minutes.when you feel that the water has evaporated  ,slow down the flame.

Let it saute till the oil oozes out.

This is madurai side dry fish dish

It goes well with hot rice
