KARA SEEYAM
Ingredients
Raw rice. 250 gms
Par boiled rice. 250 gms
Urud dhal. 150 gms
Big onions. Cut finely
Curry leaves.
Chilli powder. Two teaspoon .adjust according to your taste
Red colour. Optional
Coconut. Cut into small fine pieces
Oil for frying
HOW TO
Soak the two rices and urud dhal seperatly for one hour. Wash it
thoroughly. Grind the two rice seperately,and then the urud dhal .
Grind it just like idli batter. Combine the three, adding salt, red
colouring, and chilli powder.
Heat a kadai along with 1tbs of oil, add the finely cut onion and
coconut along with curry leaves . Saute it till transparent.add the
Sauted onions to the batter. Combine well.
Heat a kadai with oil enough for frying. Now with your hand ,take
The batter little by little and put in the oil .when it falls into the oil it
becomes small balls and starts floating, turn it with a laddle ,and let
it fry till done . Now drain it from the oil and its ready to eat.
Yum.spicy and oily treat once month is permited "I'd say"
